OMG I’m in The Globe & Mail
I was at my friend’s wedding in the Queens Botanical Gardens on a summer night, feeling well-fed and wholesome, when I got a text message saying I’m in The Globe & Mail. Pretty nice moment.
Here’s the backstory: In September 2023, I volunteered for a research project by the City of Toronto and the non-profit 8 80 Cities to study what people do in public parks. As part of that project, I put together an essay and some sketches about my experience observing people in Toronto’s western waterfront park, which were featured in journalist Linda Besner’s excellent article about Canadian parks in The Globe and Mail.
